Club Competition 3 - "Still Life":
Our third club competition of the year and the theme is "Still Life". Your photograph can be on any subject you wish, colour or black and white, but the compositional style should be that of still life.
The most common definition of a still life is - a work of art depicting mostly inanimate subject matter, typically with a focus on household objects, flowers, or fruits with commonplace objects which are either natural or man-made contrasting with these in texture, such as bowls and glassware.
Points scored count towards the Photographer Of The Year competition.
Please see the current competition rules for information on how to size and name your images, and we also have some general tips, and advice on mounting your images.
Please note that images must be handed to the competition secretary Ian Sprott at the meeting before the competition (Monday 7th October), and digital images must be submitted by email to firstname.lastname@example.org before midnight that same day.
